Mike Masanoff has spent over 35 years, cultivating relationships, collaborating with private and public entities, and leading numerous real estate development projects and corporate acquisition activities. In all cases, his efforts have proven to meet and exceed sustainable financial, social and environmental performance goals that are beneficial to his endeavors, his investors, and the communities in which his projects are located.

A firm believer in improving the quality of life through well planned and structured growth, in 2001 the Governor of the State of Florida appointed Mr. Masanoff to the Board of Directors of Tri-County Community Rail Authority (“Tri-Rail”). As a result of his achievements, in 2002 the Board (representing Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties) elected Mr. Masanoff as Vice Chair of Tri-Rail and in 2003 the Board elected him as Chair of Tri-Rail. Then in 2003, as a result of his and other’s efforts, the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (“SFRTA”) was created to coordinate all passenger and freight transit systems in the tri-county area of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, including Tri-Rail. Mr. Masanoff was then again appointed by the Governor of the State of Florida to the Board of the SFRTA and was then elected its first Chair. In 2005, Mr. Masanoff resigned from SFRTA to devote his efforts to transit oriented developments (“TOD”), Palm Beach condos, and commercial projects in the private sector and public-private partnerships.

In 1994 Mr. Masanoff and his family moved to South Florida where he quickly became involved in giving back to this new region. As a firm believer in the importance of education, Masanoff served as an Adjunct Professor of Advanced Legal Study at Florida Atlantic University, as an Advisory Board Member in the Legal Assistant Department of Broward Community College and as a guest lecturer at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and Florida Atlantic University.

As the recipient of numerous awards and honors, recognition of Mr. Masanoff’s achievements include March of Dimes – Franklin Award; Boca Raton YMCA – Chairman’s Club; Boca Raton YMCA – President’s Club; Best Real Estate Project – Ernst & Young’s South Florida Business Journal – Best Real Estate Deal with Existing Real Estate; Ernst & Young’s South Florida Business Journal – Economic Development Award; Ernst & Young’s South Florida Business Journal – Private Development Special Achievement Award; Ernst & Young’s Best Real Estate Deal with Existing Real Estate for Renovations and Rehab.

Of particular importance to Mr. Masanoff is that he is the first and proud recipient of the South Florida Regional Resource Center’s Regional Governance Award for Regional Thinking and Action in South Florida.
